Who are we?
Howlett Clarke is the result of a very successful merger in December 2003 of Howlett Clarke Cushman and Aldrich Crowther & Wood, then ACW-Law, a long established highly respected legal firm, that has enhanced the breadth and depth of specialisation that the new firm can offer. The firm, through Howlett Clarke Cushman, has been in business since 1773 and enjoyed well over two centuries of legal involvement in the community, indeed founding partners were involved in the conveyancing of Brighton's magnificent landmark, the Royal Pavilion.
As a firm the partners recognise they must adapt to keep pace with the needs of our clients and the ever-changing law. In order to do this we have always embraced long term strategic planning to evolve the practice. This success has resulted in Howlett Clarke being one of the largest, busiest, most successful law firms in the South East, with over 70 staff and a powerful range of experts in almost every legal field.
